Taiwan's Ministry of Defense has set up a working group to study Ukraine's war tricks - including how it has been able to resist Russia - and to discuss the issue with the United States.
According to Reuters, Taiwan - which China claims ownership - has stepped up its readiness since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, fearing a similar attack by China.
The possible effects of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on China's military thinking about Taiwan and the ways in which China invaded the island have been the subject of widespread debate in the island's official circles.
Taiwan's Defense Minister Chiu Ko-cheng told reporters on the sidelines of the island's parliament that island officials had been in contact with other countries to investigate the war and had set up a working group to study it.
He added that the poor performance of the Russian army and the resistance of Ukraine are among the issues that the working group is studying.
