According to ISNA, David Cameron, the former British Prime Minister, in an interview on the network "L. B. C said Putin had "explicitly" lied when asked by Russian President Vladimir Putin about Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17.

The flight crashed in 2014 on the Ukrainian-Russian border, killing all 283 people on board.

Cameron, who in 2008, following Russia's invasion of Georgia, warned that Moscow might take similar action if the international community did not respond appropriately."I said at the time that if we did not react strongly, something like this would happen again, and after 2008 - when I was not the prime minister - the international community 's reaction to what happened in Georgia was small and ineffective," he said. Nothing was done.

"Compare it to the events of 2014 and the events in Crimea and Donbas, when Russia's membership in the Group of Eight was suspended, Moscow was sanctioned, and we trained and armed the Ukrainian army," he said. .

The British politician went on to refer to his meeting with Putin in London on the occasion of the World War II memorial, claiming that Putin had lowered his guard there and made it clear that he was not a Democrat and had no common interests with us. He was also a great liar. I remember telling him with a document that Russian forces were present in the Donbas area, but he lied outright.

"I also asked him (Putin) about the downing of the Malaysia Airlines flight and he lied outright," Cameron said.

The former British prime minister also called for the establishment of permanent bases for NATO forces in the Baltic states.
