There is no sign of progress in the talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said there was no sign of progress in the talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations.

He added that Russian officials are talking a lot, but I will only believe their actions.

Earlier, British Deputy Prime Minister Dominique Robb, referring to Russia's promise to reduce the intensity of military operations in Ukraine, said that Moscow would be judged by its actions, not its words.

Russia has promised in talks that it will reduce some military operations to "increase mutual trust," but Western nations expect this to intensify attacks in other parts of the country.

"It will always be open in diplomacy, but I do not think we can trust what comes out of Putin's war machine," Robb said.

"Ultimately, they should be tested by their actions, and they should withdraw from Ukraine, not just change their position," he stressed.
